Is it bad I never got the romance gist when I first saw tamers? I mean ... Other than Takato's crush on Juri (which i actually didn't realize until the very end orz ).

More importantly, I want to apologize for how I've been playing Takato. I really wasn't playing him right ... and it's probably why my posts have been slow. orz;; But the next thread we have, it'll be better! /determinedface. Butyeah, I'm thinking that the thread would end with either Ruki winning or Takato hesitating and/or pulling back Guilmon from attacking.

Ohyeah. We never established how Takato and Ruki met. We can say they met sometime after or just before Ryou left? >>;;;Takato considers her a friend, a scary one that seems like she doesn't like him, but a friend! ''cause he's silly like that. c8;;

Soyeah. We got some of this down already. Jian and Takato used to be classmates. Something happened, causing them to split apart and forget each other for the most part ... but then ... idk what happens next. They, uh, catch up on old times?

We should have an actual, non-fighting thread sometime. :c Or at least not against each other. Maybe they could team up (after i get takato some bits) and fight in East Sector against some bug? /kinda wants the tamers trio to be friends again before any romance.

Okay, so Takato met Jian when they were in the early grades. They also meet Hiroya there who used to bully Jian (and possibly, indirectly, Takato). He was a bit of a blubbering mess then (more so than now. really big crybaby.) and was an easy target.

Sometime after that, they drifted apart and Takato got quieter. But he was still a big crybaby. So, his parents decided it would be good to have a change of scenery. They shipped him off to meet up with his cousin that lives in the southern islands.

That's when he met Ryou. At the end of the trip, Takato idolized the older male and thought it was awesome what he could do. He grew up a bit then too. Naive, little Takato wanted to be more like his idol, so he put on a happy-go-lucky face and decided that was how he was going to face the world.

He still cried, but not as much, when he met Osamu. At first it was going to be an overnight stay. Soon, it became more and, after much insistence (or maybe Osamu easily accepted the offer?) Osamu stayed with Takato. Like always, his parents didn't press Takato or Osamu about the dark haired boy's background. So it would have been easy for him to mesh in.

Soon enough, Osamu and Takato traveled back to the southern islands to meet up with Takato's family and Ryou. Maybe they could have computer talk or whatever while takato's all oblivious. (They could work him like a slave dog and he wouldn't notice. orz)

Takato meets up with Ruki sometime after he gets back, just when digimon started. He's obsessed and idk, he bumps into her. They don't become friends right away. But after some persistence, and maybe he shares some cards with her and was the person to get her interested in digimon, they become loosely friends (although takato would say they're good friends then)? Maybe he even shows her a renamon card and says: "they'd be perfect for you!" lol.

Sometime later, after that digimon card battle tournament, Takato invites everyone (osamu, ryou, and ruki. no jian 'cause they haven't seen each other yet. ; A;) over to the park. Takato introduces Ryou to Ruki without knowing that they've met. Possibly some incident occurring between Ryou and Ruki. (I'm thinking Takato never made it past the semi-finals).

Ruki and Ryou end up dating sometime after it. Takato moves to the background, but he does make fun of her. (only to end up crying from a punch or even a knee to the--)

Uhhh. Then Ryou has to leave. Maybe tells Takato to watch over her? Osamu leaves for MAGAMI also soon after. Kinda depressed and lonely without Osamu around, takato designs guilmon to take his mind off it and shows it to Ruki. Then Takato's drawing/design of Guilmon and his evolutions won a prize, two tickets to get on the island and he gives one to Ruki?

Then they all end up on the island. The end.

To sum it up:
jianliang: he's takato's long lost best friend. they need an aftermath catching up thread. 'cause lots of stuff probably happened to the both of them.

ruki: takato has some mixed feelings around her. she can be scary at time, but he knows that it's one of her pride things. he isn't sure how to face it properly and might end up tearing up if she gets too aggressive. buthekindofexpectsthat? He knows that she needs some looking after and maybe tries to do that, butweallknowitfailsmiserably. Either way, he considers her a close friend, even if she ends up hating him he'd keep following.

ryou: Ryou is Takato's idol. He might be a few years older than him, but Takato always wanted to grow up like him 'cause he reminded him of being a super hero. (Wait until he sees Ryou now.) Like Ruki, he wants to meet him again, but he doesn't want to as strongly as she does.

osamu: Osamu's Takato's older brother figure. Sort of. Use the term kind of lightly since Osamu's been more like a live-in friend/tutor? Even if he looks kinda scary at first, he's always been a cool guy and his family likes him. So yeah. He wants to see him again, just to check and see if he's doing well.

twins: uhhhhhhhhh. italian. hard to plot. ;; takato would find mako's armor in DO kinda funny but cool at the same time. he'd poke at it trying to figure out how the thing work. the twins might not like his easy going attitude? maybe?

alice: um. he can't understand a word she says. maybe plenty of miscommunication here? but he'll be in DO all the time and she doesn't sound like she likes going there?

i do agree; friends first before any romances since, well, it would be weird jumping into a romance if they're not cemented as friends xD

Nah its not bad. I actually didn't see any romance until I saw Tamers a second time xD

yea, she would need looking after even though she won't admit it; she's fragile inside, hiding it with her cold, twisted nature. and i think them already being friends would mean if she was to be helped later down the line when the darkness takes over, she won't be as, hostile as if it were someone she didn't know xD

also, ruki does think takato as a friend, one reason why she didn't comment on his upset nature in the thread xD for him to keep following even if she would hate it, it would show ruki that not everyone abandons her.

as for ruki wanting to see ryou again, mainly she just wants to smack him for disappearing on her xD the subject of ryou is one that brings mixed feelings because he was her first ever boyfriend and he just upped and poofed so shes, bitter about that xD
