He wasn't the most poetic man. Hell, reading was shit for him so here was how he described the sea. It was blue. It was water-y. It wasn't doing anything. Okay, he's out of ideas now.
Fuck. This was boring.
Bearmon was lying flat on the sand, snoozing. He should get the thing to level up a bit. Even though he was part of Magami, he couldn't just speed level this thing. Then again, Jaime wouldn't do that. He liked playing video games but he found Digimon Online to be more fun in other...aspects.
He stayed lurking in the shadows of some trees. He would have to do something, or else he would die of boredom. Whoever he sees in this freaking beach, he would...hmmm, try to get the player in an unplanned swim.
Jaime smiled. That should make the sea a bit more lively. The Coelamon would love it, he was sure. [/style] |

Ashe didn't know what to think.
Coming back here was like adding salt to open wounds, doing nothing to erase the memories of her digimon clutched in another digimon's jaws. It caused her to shudder, goosebumps prickling against her pale skin. Only good thing about coming back to the beach was Renamon; the fox digimon had learned another technique, which meant no being too weak with only one attack. Two meant variation, if one didn't work, the was another, a back up. No walking in blindly anymore. "I don't like it here Renamon. You know what happened last time." Again the image swam within her head, Renamon's body chomped, helpless to do anything but throw sand in hopes that the monster would let go. "That was a glitch. We had help too." Her digimon responded, glancing up towards the sky. Hardened features softened, only slightly. "I know you fear this place. I won't let anything happen to you." Ashe felt somewhat relieved, only slightly, and only for a matter of seconds. "I'm supposed to protect you!" Renamon laughed, an ivory fang showing for a split moment before she darted forward, trying to coax her tamer into coming further onto the beach.
Standing just before the beach began was where it was safest, not willing to put a naked foot against the pearly grains of sand and be invited to a world of trouble. Slowly glancing around, there wasn't many people in sight, just the two of them, not even seeing someone hiding behind the trees. Groaning, the girl took a step, closing her eyes tightly shut as if expecting a digimon to leap from within the sand. When nothing happened, Ashe let out a breathe she hadn't known she was holding, allowing her heart rate to slow down with its thumping beat, before giving her digimon a small smile. Sand was okay, it slid across her feet, roughly clinging to her skin, but it was much better than once thought. As long as, Ashe shuddered again, looking over towards the clear blue waters. As long as there was no swimming, staying away from that water was one of the best plans ever. For someone so afraid of water, Ashe wondered(as always) why she was even at the beach. Some of the beach was sand, yes, but the rest was dominated by liquid that could overpower you, drag you under, and take you away. That, and if the water got her, she'd be in trouble. No knowing how to swim, yes, it was the truth. A shameful secret. Everyone had the chance to learn, Ashe never got that chance. Maybe it was her parents keeping that from her in hopes that one day their daughter would drown, and they'd be rid of their ever-present burden....
No, no thinking of that. Opening her jaw, about to talk to her digimon partner, she froze in worry, scanning for any evil digimon. Renamon was still, her tail no longer flickering and her eyes narrowed coldly. A wild, panicky moment, Ashe thought Renamon was aiming that at her, when relief flooded her blood stream "There is someone here. Close. Come out wherever you are!" Even Renamon couldn't see who it was, just that there was someone about. Ashe blinked, hoping that it wasn't another glitch in this area. Frankly, she had enough of glitches to last her about a week.
Word Count; 578 Notes; Since the thread with the evil digimon hasn't ended, I left that part vague. Uhm, yea xD feel free to push Ashe in the water; she can't swim and I can see Renamon flailing while trying to get her out -giggles-

Jaime prodded Bearmon with his foot. Bearmon groggily woke up and looked at his partner-in-crime questioningly. Jaime responded by pointing to the two new arrivals. This silent exchange was more than enough to answer everything.
The two grinned at once and chorused in a thin, quiet voice:
"Yay"
"Yay"
The Renamon caught their presence but that was fine. Jaime scooped Bearmon back to his arms and the man with his pitch-black robes and its long, dangling sleeves revealed himself into the light like an opaque shadow out in the open.
"Hello," he greeted. "I'm just a moderator."
"And I'm Bearmon!" Bearmon said.
Jaime strolled toward the girl leisurely. "I was just doing my job, looking out for trouble. The sea is boring..."
He stopped right beside the girl, flashing her his Cheshire grin. "Are you here to get bored?" [/style] |

Renamon watched silently, keeping icy blue hues on the Bearmon in case it decided to try something funny; one never knew with other digimon, and their experiences at Shell Beach had not been happy. When the male appeared, speaking, Renamon blinked, quickly stepping in front of her tamer and poised, ready for anything that might come there way, eyes more focused on the guys digimon than the guy himself. Ashaliya, seeing her friend stand in front of her, listening to the male's voice, it sent sharp, cold shivers coursing up and down her spine. There was a little, weirdness, about the other guy, Ashe couldn't name it, trouble with a capital T came to mind regardless. "Hello just a moderator." Ashe spoke, lips and mouth drying as she spoke, unable to even smile at her words, for if he was a moderator, it definitely was trouble! "Does the moderator have a name?" The female tamer added while Renamon was walking around Ashe in a circle loop, making sure there wasn't any chance for this male to come any closer, before stepping back by Ashe's side when she nodded.
"Hello Bearmon." Again she swallowed, feeling clammy which only worsened when he got closer, stopping beside the girl and giving off a grin. "Hm, well, I hate to say it but you missed the trouble. Renamon and I along with two others were attacked." Confusion settled across her features afterward, what did he mean by that? "What on earth are you talking about? We're here to get unbored." Her inner freaky meter was going off like an alarm, instinct causing her to take a few steps back, which meant getting closer to the sea, not that great of an idea when water was terrifying. Renamon's prescence was enough to help calm down the fear that was lancing straight through her heart. "What is it that you want?" Renamon spoke in an all but demanding tone of voice, raising up her slender head to stare directly into the moderators eyes. Ashe may have felt fear, but her digimon was more devoid of such crippling emotions; no, she was in protect mode, if this moderator got Bearmon to attack, Renamon would defend in a heart beat. All around it seemed like the wind was picking up, causing sand to litter across her naked feet, taking another few steps backwards, each step getting closer and closer to those dreaded waters.

He inched conspicuously closer to the girl, ignoring Renamon's words and stare. "Now, lady, just relax~ The Magami Staff doesn't bite and you can tell I'm part of it." He pointed one long, black painted fingernail on the red band on his arm. "You even forgot to introduce yourself!"
"Or maybe she's just dumb as shit!" Bearmon said.
Jaime continued to grin unpleasantly. "Now Bearmon don't be so rude. Please excuse his behavior. He is too honest about his feelings like an adorable little child he is. Don't you agree?" He looked at the sea. "The sea is a boring place so it is such a delight to meet one of our beloved players here~ Why don't we try to do the introductions again? Perhaps your partner would be more cooperative too. I go by the name of Sir Cuddles. And you?"

Sand moved beneath toes, crumbling all across her feet as she moved, carefully keeping the older male in sight at all times, wary despite the comfort of Renamon standing right there beside. There was nowhere to run, nor nowhere to hide among the beach or sea. Jumping into the water was a definite no go, swallowing thickly, the fear building up surging throughout her blood. Body language deftly ignored, sand warm and grainy against her skin kept her thoughts from wandering too far and too deep within her own mind, going to places it should never have gone to in the first place. Bringing more fear and distrust where they should be none of it; this game was an escape from the real world and all of its suckiness, and now she'd gone smack bang in the middle of one of the few things she had wanted to avoid. "You may be part of the staff but I doubt all of them do not bite." Ashe replied, pink eyes swiftly flicking over to the red band before back to his face, wanting to try and stay one step ahead if he had anything planned. She really wouldn't put it past him, everything screamed at her to leave and not trust him.
Or maybe it was just her being paranoid.
"Or maybe she doesn't need to introduce herself." Renamon interjected coldly, ice blue eyes narrowing in the direction of Bearmon; had he been a simple digimon, and not a digimon of a moderator, easily she would have aimed a hail of Diamond Storm at his insolence. As it was, she wasn't able to do much without her tamers permission. Ashe meanwhile hadn't fogotten to introduce herself, it was more of a case of not wanting to introduce herself. "Be that as it may, at least one of you is being honest." There had to be more to this guy than what was meeting the eyes, despite her words Ashe was merely thoughtful, not hostile, for once taking her eyes off the man and turning towards the sea, clear blue liquid lapping up against crystalline sands, nothing more beautiful and more terrifying than the sea. "It wasn't boring last time. A defective digimon ended up attacking us a day or so ago." Ashe shuddered, causing Renamon to instinctively filter closer. "Alright Sir Cuddles, if you insist. I'm Pyro Syren. Renamon is, just watching out for me." A pity Renamon was stuck within the game, sometimes it would be nice to have her out, then again, she didn't know what might happen if Renamon could leave the game.
"Is the sea is boring, why are you here? I mean, there are many other places you could go." Ashe asked, one hand moving towards her hip, clasping around bone and squeezing slightly. Shifting her stance meant more sand cascaded across her feet, feeling sorry for Renamon whose feet were covered in fur. All Ashe had to do was rub the sand off, for her digimon it was worse. "I find the sea, scary. But calming. It's a weird mix." Ashe trailed off, well aware that she wasn't keeping watch on Sir Cuddles, but that didn't mean she was trusting him. No, she was still wary and still frightened, but she was just hoping that it was only her overreacting. Time would soon tell if she was right. Or if she was very, very wrong.

[/div] NOTES; if you're gonna let him leave, i can throw in jian to continue xP WORDS; 202It was the second time she mentioned of the attack. A defective Digimon? Well, that's nothing new. He disregarded the subject, not deeming it interesting enough to interrogate a random player for.
"Oh you never know, something interesting might happen," he answered. He gently placed a hand on her other shoulder across her back. "Life is full of contradictions," he said sagely. Despite his words, the water reflected the teeth in his suspicious grin.
Bearmon took the hint. All he needed to do now was to distract the Renamon.
"Hey Renamon, don't be so uptight!" he said loudly, waving an arm in the air. "This is just a game! Chill!"
"Oh yes, just relax," Jaime murmured, patting pyro syren's shoulder. "Nothing in this game is real. Not the sand, not the water, not even death..."
He released his hand from her shoulder but just as he was going to leave her personal space, he attacked. He slammed pyro syren on the side to send her splashing in the water.
Jaime's hand flew to his mouth. "Woops~"
But he made no attempt to correct his mistake or even stay for that matter. The moderator pranced away with Bearmon laughing uncontrollably.
Fun fun fun.

"Hope not." Ashe was left with a shudder passing through, not because Sir Cuddle's hand was on her back, all while staring into the depths of the water. Renamon simply eyed the Bearmon, lips quirking into a sort of grin, both tamer and digimon were feeling bad about their overreactions against the pair. "You're right, it is just a game." Renamon replied, turning around to face the other digimon, focus entirely away from her partner and Sir Cuddles. Needless to say, the vulpine was distracted, watching the Bearmon all while wondering what he was going to do next.
As such, she didn't see Sir Cuddles' pushing her tamer, pushing her directly into the waters open, greedy mouth.
Ashe felt the hand against her shoulder before the push, her world spinning upside down as she fell face first into the salty water. Instinct drove her, pushing both hands in front of her to try and minimize the fall but it was too late. Fingers drove into wet sand as water splashed against her face, dripping from those pink locks, while more water encased her body. So much for being able to trust him, her previous thoughts had been right, and she growled, before trembling in absolute fear. Water; if it took her out further into the sea what might happen? Sure this was a game but regardless, it felt real. And she didn't know how to swim. Stuck, frozen in place, her terrified reflection peering back up at her, the image distorted when the water rippled. "What is wrong with you?" Ashe all but shrieked, losing control for perhaps the first time in the game. Thrashing about, Ashe's body flailed within the salty water, causing more ripples to surface, and more water to soak her already cooling, soaking body.
Renamon stood, arms folded across her chest, feeling like she had failed her tamer; lights danced around her arms before dying off when she saw just how bad her tamer was reacting; tears pooling from those warm eyes, drenched in salt water from head to toe. "You are a terrible human." Renamon hissed as Sir Cuddles and Bearmon pranced away, turning to face her tamer, still thrasing in the water, with saddened eyes. Immediately she leapt to Ashe's side, putting a clawed hand on her back. When Ashe felt the pressure, she thrashed more, unaware that it was Renamon until she saw the distorted reflection. Still, she hardly calmed down, only enough for Renamon to wrap her arms around Ashe's frame, lifting her up easily out of the water. Padding further up the shore, Ashe was set down, trembling on the sand, while Renamon's eyes narrowed in the direction of Sir Cuddles. "I failed you." Renamon spoke without looking at Ashe. "I should have known, and stopped him. I know of your fear of the water."
Body rapidly cooling, Ashe's teeth clattered together, reaching out to grab Renamon's paw, fur sticking together as water traversed between each other. "No, you didn't fail me Renamon. If anything, I failed. As a tamer, as your friend, as your partner. We couldn't know that he would pretty much throw me into the water. You've been nothing but loyal, a friend Renamon. I don't want you ever thinking that you failed me." Pulling herself closer to the vulpine, Ashe wrapped her arms around the legs of her digimon until she lowered herself down to her tamers height. Together they hugged, Renamon's fur soaking up some of the loose water, but not complaining. If this helped Ashe...
Worry contorted through her system as Ashe sobbed against Renamon, trying to hold back the tears that flowed, choking on her own saliva. If Renamon was at all uncomfortable with her tamers sobbing she didn't show it; instead she clung on, unknowing that she was all that stood between Ashe and Ashe losing her mind further.

It felt like he have been training all day long when all it was his Digimon doing all the exercise. Should he consider this as mentally exhausting (since it was just a virtual world connecting to his brain) or physically exhausting? He wanted to say both but he knew his body hadn't even moved a muscle and was completely relaxed back in the capsule in the Real World. Knowing computers more than an average player in the island, Jian knew the better explanation had something to do with the prowess of virtual reality. Things he perceived about himself as well as other information in the virtual world is transmitted to his brain, which then reacts to the information and gives him the illusion of pain, exhaustion, and etcetera. When he logged off an hour earlier to eat lunch, it took a minute for him to adjust back in reality where he wasn't all washed up.
Jian placed an arm over his other arm and stretched in order to get the message across his brain to relax his "muscles." After stretching, he let out a deep breath, closing his eyes for a few seconds. Even though this wasn't real, everything worked just the same way in reality. If he needed to relax, basic breathing exercises worked just as fine. When he opened his eyes again, Jian searched for Terriermon through the white sands of Shell Beach.
"Terriermon, let's go." His voice floated in the air but there was no response. "Terriermon?" A few seconds later, Jian blinked. He went toward a suspicious mound of sand and sighed. "Terriermon, you're the one who wanted to gain a few more levels." He crouched down to his knees and began to dust the sand off with both his hands. He expected nothing less from Terriermon to do a childish trick like this; however, shortly after clearing the sand off, he didn't find Terriermon. Blinking, he was startled by a loud shout from behind him.
"BOO!"
Jian let out a startled cry, turning to find Terriermon with his hands and ears up with half of his body buried in sand. Jian just stared at him and silence drifted between them.
Terriermon was the first to break the silence. His ears dropped an inch. "That's it?"
"Er...yes?" Jian said, still starring at Terriermon.
Terriermon's rear crashed on the sand as his smile and spirit did. "How boring."
Jian's lips twitched. "Sorry." It's not like something as small and cute as Terriermon can make him tumble backward. He turned himself around completely and helped clear sand off his Digimon. "So are we still going to continue that training?"
"All you think about is training," Terriermon said aloud, pulling his feet out the sand.
"You're the one who wanted to," Jian pointed out. This kind of bicker was nothing new and seemed more like a healthy ritual in their conversations for the both of them. When Terriermon's all cleaned up, he pushed himself up on his knees and stood. "So shall we?"
But Terriermon didn't seem to be interested at all as he slowly fell on a resigned expression. "I've been thinking, Jen..."
"Oh?" He blinked, eyebrows rising. "What's wrong?"
"We've been training so hard but I haven't evolved yet. By now, I should have! I think there might be something wrong with my data...maybe we should have MAGAMI check..."
Jian shook his head. He leaves Terriermon for an hour and he comes up with crazy ideas like this? Jian hoped he didn't have more of those unspoken words. "There's nothing wrong with you, Terriermon. You're who whatever you are and there's nothing to fix with what's not wrong. No one's perfect, not even Digimon," Jian consoled, slipping one hand into his jeans pocket casually. He smiled. "Don't worry about it."
Terriermon softly returned the smile followed by a giggle. Jian didn't need to hear any more words if Terriermon could laugh.
"Moumentai!" Terriermon recited, fancying a bunny hop dance all of a sudden.
Jian chuckled at his Digimon's antics. He scanned the sea, thinking if they should have a go at a Shellmon. That last time they have been here was with Lobo and they were only able to take down the Adult Digimon through the help of Lobomon, Stabimon's evolved form. He didn't mind jumping in a challenge every now and then. Difficulties make people stronger after all.
Jian saw two people at the shore and what he noticed made him blush. They looked like a couple. A pretty odd couple. One had red-violet hair and the other had long, silver one although it was the man's black clothes that struck to Jian as most odd. By how physically close they were with the man's arm over the girl's, Jian could only assume they were...in a private moment.
"Let's move on," Jian said to Terriermon, not wanting to disturb the two.
"Huh? Okay," Terriermon said. Though he didn't ask, he was a bit confused. Jian's face must be still a bit pinkish.
Just as they were about to turn around, a commotion down the shore made them turn around again and look. It was the splash that made them anxious though while the laughter of the man and the girl's screech doubled their worry. It looks like there was a lover's quarrel just now. Jian would have probably just stood back than help and butt in someone's personal life had he not seen the hysteria that followed.
He gasped at what he saw. Soaked and shaking, the girl snuggled to her Renamon like she was clinging for her life. Jian quickly ran to her, passing by the bizarre man who was sadistically amused by the girl's quickening sobs - and was that a teddy bear he was holding? Jian ignored what he saw for now as the girl needed the attention first. But when Jian got close to the stranger, he was at lost on what to do. What was he to say to comfort a crying girl? He could only think she was crying because of the way her boyfriend just cruelly left her. He must have said something - done something to her to put her into this state.
Jian decided not to speak for a while. He eased his body and stood patiently, waiting for perhaps the right time. She was obviously too emotional right now. Jian's word might not be of help but if there was something he could do, he would gladly obliged. Maybe the Renamon could explain to him what happened but she was busily being the redhead's crying shoulder right now. It would feel intruding if he said something.
Jian looked for Terriermon, realizing he hadn't followed him. When he spotted his Digimon, he saw Terriermon blocking the path of the bizzare man.
"Did you do what I think you just did?" Terriermon demanded, his face dead serious. "If you did, get back there and apologize!" he said, pointing at the girl. Terriermon might not have seen what exactly happened but it didn't take a genius to piece things together. Whatever the reason was, to leave laughing like that was obviously something only a jerk no, not red would do. If this jerk decided he was too good to utter an apology then Terriermon might have to resort to force. The rabbit tightened his fists, ready for a battle and this would be a battle he wasn't allowed to lose.

[lololol rping with myself ftw and gad, looking back at jian's post...that's a horrible 1k post 8C I blame jerk]
He made no backward glance. Hearing the screams thrown in the air made him tear up in joy. They were so angry even though it was just water. Fake water. Talk about overreaction. This was one of those moments Jaime wished he could put in a screenshot to post in the Internet as a Motivational Poster. Probably with the title, "Digital water. It makes gamer girls so mad."
In their mirth, he didn't even notice the other player that zoomed past by him to help Pyro Syren and neither did he notice the Digimon blocking his way. He didn't walk over it. He did see it and made a turn around it, just that Jaime didn't think it was a Digimon. When he heard it talk, he controlled his laughter to listen to where the sound was coming from.
He turned around and saw a cute, long-eared Digimon with a scowl that intimidated five-year-old's to hand in their stash of candies.
He didn't answer. He just grinned.
"Yo, Jumbo," Bearmon yelled. "See this thing around Sir Cuddles' arm? Yeah it's red in case you're color-blind, and if your brains pea-sized too, it means he's a mod so watch what you're saying accusing us with shit. We don't know who that bitch and her Digi-bitch is!"
"Now, now, Bearmon, mind your language. You're going to make him tremble from ears to feet." Jaime tipped his hat a bit. "Goodbye, Jumbo. I hope your next show would be as funny back in the circus!"
Bearmon howled in laughter as the moderator turned and took his leave once more, very pleased and contented with today's success.

Breaking down in the middle of the beach, clutching a two-legged vulpine digitalized creature for comfort was definitely not something to put in her happy memories.
While she sobbed into her partners legs, there was an air of oblivion surrounding her, as if shielding her from someone coming onto the scene to mock her. Renamon's claw rested against Ashe's pink haired head. Occasionally she'd move her head slightly, surveying the area with protective eyes, making sure no-one else like Sir Cuddles came in to further destroy Ashe's frame of mind. When she next looked around did she see a tamer and his digimon, a smaller digimon with large ears standing in front of where Sir Cuddles was moving. For such a tiny creature Renamon respected Terriermon for his bravery.
What made it worse for Ashe was more people. In this case, one person and their partner. Hearing a males voice, she inwardly groaned, hiding her vivid eyes deeper into her partner's fur as if she could will herself to disappear. After a brief moment, the girl pushed herself up, and with a tear stained face glared at the moderator, Renamon meanwhile padded over to Jian. "Please don't, hes not worth it. I don't want you guys getting into trouble." Ashe spoke, hoping that the mod could just leave finally and be done with it. There was no doubt in her mind that Terriermon could pack quite the punch, but it wasn't worth getting banned from the game. Not this time.
"My tamer is terrified of water. This jerk pushed her in. He scares her, so it might be best for him to leave her sights." Renamon spoke to the male tamer, inclining her head in the jerks direction. The vulpine's main priority was her tamer, and her well being would carry on as long as Jaime left. Even though she wanted to give him a swift kick.

"Oh," was all Jian could say for now, his eyebrows creasing to that of worry. It was strange to be afraid of the water. Renamon probably meant she was afraid of large bodies of water, or drowning maybe? The water, like everything else in this world, wasn't real but the sensation was. What the poor girl have experienced was a nightmare while wide-awake.
He nodded to Renamon. They shouldn't make matters worse by starting up a fight although Jian didn't say how they could get in trouble for it. Battling another player wasn't illegal but Jian was sure attempting to drown someone was. He eyed at the man warily and that was when he noticed the red arm band around his arm.
"A staff?"
Jian was speechless - and angry. How could a staff do this to a player? Personal business or not, this form of attack was unacceptable. Jian expected there would be players abusing the unlimited possibilities of virtual reality but he didn't think - and dare imagine - a MAGAMI staff would.
"Terriermon," Jian said, glowering at the man. "Get back here."
Terriermon was ready to object. "You're going to let him go after what he did?"
No, Jian thought. Only someone so uncaring and indifferent would let a person like that go. He didn't look afraid for being caught in the act. He worked for MAGAMI after all and Jian didn't know just how much power the staff had in the administration. He hoped he wasn't high up there. Jian would feel disgusted enjoying a game made by these kind of jerks.
"It's not going to solve anything," Jian said, keeping himself calm. At situations like this, he always kept his head cool to make rational decisions. Admittedly, the only thing stopping Jian from grabbing the staff member by the collar was for the fact Terriermon was looking like he was about to do the guy a beating. Seeing Terriermon upset just as he was calmed him a bit. A fight wasn't going to make things better. It would only make them feel so. "Terriermon, please."
Jian was relieved to see Terriermon relax. Terriermon walked up to Jian and glared at the two. "Better thank Jen for being nice."
Jian smiled, rubbing Terriermon on the head. "Thanks, Terriermon." His smile vanished and he glared at them too. "Well? I think you've done enough damage here and I don't think you're here to stay to apologize."
But the man barely listened nor did he give a damn about them as his and his Digimon's form vanished from sight. Jian took a steady breath and turned back to Ashe. "He's gone now," he said soothingly, hoping that maybe the news would calm her emotions down.
