Explain your OOC name

as the title says. how did you come up with your ooc name?

Tanz was just my cbox name. IRL, Tan-Tan was my nickname. Back in IF, people know me as Tan-Tan really but since people here in PB get to know you more in the cbox, Tanz stuck to me now. Oh and if you see Ambassador attached, it's because I'm the ad mod of the site it makes me feel slightly less inferior than usual.

I'm mostly sticking to Tanz now...because I discovered Tan-Tan was a sensual dance back in the old days....

Lavitz is a character from a video game. I joined a site one day and was all "I need a new name!" And I looked around the room... and looked over at my video game pile... and there it was. The Legend of Dragoon. My most favorite video game in the whole entire world. Lavitz is the name of a really badass, honorable, sexy guy with a spear. So I took his name and now here it is 8|

I have a few OOC names before sticking with Zyoria. First I was known as Rain due to a wolf rpg, then Torn Demonic Angel which encompassed three of my most used wolves and their alignment. Synge was neutral so he was 'torn', Kaiser was evil/dark so he was 'demonic' while Rain was good/light so she was 'angel'
I switched between the two(Rain and TDA) depending on the site before I stuck with Rain for a Resident Evil chat/rpg site. When another member joined, she was known as Rain too(creator of resident evil movies dot net, url might have changed by now), so I flailed, trying to find another OOC name.

I had a friend named Ria and playing around with letters, I came up with Zyo to put in front(random letter punching ftw!) Combining these two I was now known as Zyoria. And the name has stuck ever since.

Sometimes I do use the alias Rain or Torn Demonic Angel; very rarely but sometimes :3

I went by 'Romiress' for absolute ages, and used it on my first two proboards sites. Then, I ran into a site where there was a 'Romi', and ended up dropping down to 'Ress' to avoid confusion.

As for 'Romiress'? ROkusho + suMILLIDON produced 'Romilidon', which I swapped to 'Romiress' to make it sound slightly more... feminine. Yes, that is a medabots reference you spot.

uh ... i have several names online - even on rp sites, but i'm only gonna be explaining my current one. = w=

nachtmare well, kinda basic. nacht = night in german. and i just added "mare" to it so it looks like nightmare but not. actually, that's even incorrect german. the actual word for nightmare is "Albtraum." ... which sounds better. maybe i should go by that one day.

anyways, the reason why i stuck with it was mostly 'cause of a joke. i was always hell to catch online during normal hours. haha. so, i made that up.

I think Lavitz is a pretty cool name. Didn't know it was a character's name. Zyoria's pretty unique and nice-sounding for something put together out of nowhere xD and Medabots reference, Ress? Enlighten me! man I love that show

My OOC name has like no story behind it all, I just like to be called by my real first name which just so happens to be Michael. Yeah so uneventful.

My OOC name actually comes from a joke from another site I used to rp on (I just visit now). Since the members decided that I stalked the admin's characters and that I was in a "relationship" with another player (Another joke we are just friends) , it soon turned into that I was "walking the street" and some such. Thus they nicknamed me "Cherry" due to it being a common prostitute name... Yeah... I still despise the nickname but it has oddly grown on me XD

I got sick of sunfox and midnightwolf, because of the FREAKS furries. So one day I was thinking of a new pen name and I came up of Summer Star, and then it just went to Summer.

my normal OOC name is Dream. it started on a site that used chatango for the cbox, and my screen name for that is DreamAtTempo which got shortened to just Dream and it's kinda stuck. I use Angel in the cbox though because that's Hikari's game name and she was my first character *shrugs*

though i have been rping since long before i joined chatango, and have had many other nicknames, but i'm not gonna get into those because that would take a lot of time and I just don't feel like telling.


PS: Dream At Tempo 119 is the name of a song by the Silversun Pickups, i just took off the numbers XD
