OTHER NOTES

• he suffers from the disease tuberculosis and, though taking medication for it, is rarely allowed to leave his bed in fear of infecting others with his disease. he also doubts that the medicine will even work and hates going to the doctor for it. in the game, he doesn't have to worry about the disease and, by successfully escaping to the island, he doesn't have to listen to his parents orders to stay in bed either.
  
  
• though his father is japanese, kai's mother is a german woman. along with him, there have been seven other children, though two were born from different fathers due to a rocky area in his parents' relationship.
  
  
• up until she started to have so many children- which ruined her figure- kairou's mother had been a model. his father is head of a large company, one that isn't all that big of a fan of digimon online and his father probably wouldn't be happy to know that kairou had joined the game back in september.
  
  
• growing up, the boy always cared more about his education than anything, which is why he never bothered to make friends or get into dating. in fact, kai purposely tried to stop being from getting close to him because having a friend is giving your enemies something to use against you. kai doesn't want that.

REASON FOR JOINING BETA TESTING first of all, kai joined because of his sickness. inside the game, he doesn't have to be sick and, on this island, his parents aren't constantly worrying about his health because his parents aren't here. the second reason though, unfortunately, is because he hates digimon online. ever since it became popular, he has wanted it to disappear because it rivals many companies- including his father's- with that ai system they invented.
