» - usernames - > think of them as one's sole source of income and identification. once a person has established a connection with the network and created their own username, it will carry all the info they need and the hours put in to playing -- as well as discovering those "bugs" in the system -- will compute into money that they can use in real life. the more hours/bugs the more income. generally, people are given a good amount of income to make sure they are able to sustain themselves.
» - housing - > depending on one's background, one's housing may be extravagant or not so much. however, no one is left homeless. those who did not buy parts of the land must share houses with other beta testers. these houses have three bedrooms, one bath, a kitchen, and a living room. up to six people can live in a single one of these houses. of course, those who live in mansions are mainly due to the funding they put into Digimon Online™.
